Preparation is key. We have a standard list of portrait shots for you to choose from. However, have a think if there are any other portraits you would like done on the day - such as yourselves with your Granny / Godmother etc. Make a note of these on the questionnaire we provide. Once we are informed, the photos we be taken and everyone is happy!
We are at your disposal on the day, so don't be afraid to ask us to do a shot that has occurred to you in the moment. That's what we're there for.
Don't worry about the weather. We all love a bit of sunshine, but you'll have a great day regardless. From a photography perspective, we bring along a lot of equipment that allows us to cope with changeable weather. The quality of your photos will be just as good - hail, rain or shine.
Nothing slows down the portrait shots more than looking for people. We like to do the portraits as soon as we can after your congratulations so that you can then get back to the celebrations. However, sometimes key people go missing! Forewarned is forearmed, so make sure you inform your family members and the bridal party of the schedule.
It is helpful if you could give one of the groomsmen / bridesmaids the job of gathering family groups for the portrait shots. They know better than us who everyone is and this can save time.
Ask one of the bridesmaids to have some translucent powder and some lippy on hand. The bride's make-up may need a touch up after she's been kissed and hugged by over 100 people!
