Our wedding service has been perfected over the years and we believe that we provide truly great coverage to our couples. We have hundreds of happy clients who confirm this! In addition to producing wonderful photographs, Peter’s priority is to make the process of being photographed easy and enjoyable for you. We use an assistant which helps to streamline our coverage and also provides a ‘second shooter’ in some situations. Peter captures your wedding day using a mixture of reportage and informal portraiture with an emphasis on minimal interference so that you can get on with enjoying your day.
Reportage
This is documentary or ‘fly on the wall’ coverage of the day. Coverage here includes photography before the ceremony at the bride’s house if required and then at the church, catching people arrive before the service. Coverage of the ceremony itself, photography outside the church after the ceremony for congratulations and then coverage of you and your guests at your reception venue. We shoot ‘true’ documentary. This means that we do not interfere and ask you to pose for shots that are supposed to appear spontaneous. We record your day as it actually unfolds.
Portraiture
Taken in our own signature informal style, this consists of portraits of the bride & groom, wedding party and families. We take these either at the church, reception venue or at another suitable location. You choose which photographs you would like taken on your wedding day from a list that we will go through with you prior to the wedding. We are very quick and efficient with our portraiture (weather depending), which allows you to return to your guests and the celebrations as soon as possible.
Coverage
You choose where and when you would like us to start our coverage – usually with the bride during preparations or at the ceremony venue. We then shoot pretty much constantly (but discreetly) throughout the day until you are called for your meal. 90% of our coverage is reportage (documentary / photo-journalistic) so you won’t even be aware of us at work. We use long lenses where possible so that we are not in anyone’s face and no-one is aware of the camera (which is when people look their best!) Our clients often comment on all of the moments we captured that they were not even aware of on the day. We are also available for overtime if you would like some of the evening shenanigans photographed..
What is included?
We create a private web gallery for you soon after your wedding day. We provide you with a USB disk containing all of your wedding images as standard with our coverage. These images are high resolution, optimised and fully printable (they are NOT proofs and are NOT watermarked). This enables you to print unlimited copies of your own wedding photographs for yourselves, your families and friends. You can create your own album if you wish and you can share your wedding images via email, facebook etc.
Albums
If you would like an album, we have a range of simple classic and contemporary albums to choose from. (Our Storybook album is extremely popular). Some photographers choose the photographs for a couple’s wedding album themselves. However we believe that you should be the one who decides which images mean the most to you and should be included in your wedding album. Each image on your USB disk will be numbered, and you simply give us a list of the image numbers you would like in your album. We do the rest.
Timescales
We will create a password protected web gallery of a selection of your images as soon as possible after your wedding and contact you with your login information. This enables you to see some of your images very soon after the wedding. We provide your USB disk of images within approximately one month after the wedding.
Payment
We have a two-part payment plan. Firstly, if you would like to book our services for your wedding day, we require a non-refundable booking deposit of €300 to secure your date. (We cannot take provisional bookings). The balance of the fee is due 21 days prior to your wedding date. We offer wedding photography gift vouchers if you have any guests looking for a special gift idea. Please contact us for more details.
Finally…
Once you have made a booking with us, you need do nothing else until we contact you in the weeks before your wedding day. At that stage we will go through your itinerary, discuss times, locations and preference etc. so that everything is in order for us to create beautiful photographs of your day.
